Future Location of National Bookstore

As I promised, here is the future location of National Bookstore in Gaisano Mall.

It is right next to Ferretti on the first floor of the mall. When I was there last week, the store sign was up and the interior is still in progress. When I passed by a couple of days ago, the store sign was lit already.

I also noticed that they have a mezzanine floor like the store they have in Katipunan, QC. I would guess that the books would be placed there to maximize the space. And maybe Chris just might be right that it will be a school supplies store. Specially since it’s the time to buy school supplies. Oh well…

I do have some school and office supplies I find in Natio only. So ok na lang pud.

Thank God for the rain!

The last few days have been excruciatingly hot! If you have an airconditioning unit, lucky you. You’re luckier if you don’t mind turning it on during the hot daytimes. For those who don’t have one, I am sure your fans are working overtime and probably on number 3.

Tonight has been great. At around 5:30pm it rained! Was it a relief! I had to stay at home today due to a headache and aching muscles which is quite surprising since I didn’t really tax my legs or anything.

So for those of you who complain when it rains, please don’t complain when it’s all sunshine-y.

I am praying for rain now because Emcor Caravan is over (selfish *wink*) and also because our farmers need it.

Ciao!

New Kids’ Playhouse at KCC

About two weeks ago, I saw this streamer of a new kids’ playplace at the 2nd level of KCC. So we went to check out where it is.

It’s right next to the travel agencies and the dental clinic. Now, if I compare it to the original Playroom nearest Worlds of Fun, this is much cleaner and orderly, well, maybe because it’s still new. I have actually have not brought my kids often to the Playroom because the toys are not as well-maintained as I would wish they would be.

This playhouse has strict policy that kids should be wearing socks and guardians should wear slippers provided by the playhouse.

They also have a sleeping area. (Not that I would want to use it for my kids.) But at least if you have a need to let your baby lie down comfortably, you have a place to go to. Might even be advisable for breastfeeding moms.

I can only wish that they would maintain their facilities and keep the place squeaky clean. The rates are not bad either. 35 pesos for 30 minutes. The place is also spacious.

So if you have kids, let them try out Kids’ Playhouse!

Natio is coming to town!

I heard from anynomouse, a visitor in this blog, that National Bookstore is opening in Gensan already. I have written about my wish for National Bookstore to be in the city in a previous post. And now I can’t believe it’s actually going to be here!

Natio, as I have always called it, is opening in Gaisano Mall this May as per a blog post I have read. Of course, I do wish that it was in KCC because I frequent KCC more than Gaisano but it’s okay anyway. I wonder how the other bookstores will fare now that National Bookstore is in town.

I do wish that they will have a lot of books though.

Since I have been busy the previous week, I did not really have time for malling. I am going to check out where they will locate it in Gaisano.

Now, I guess it’s time to renew that Laking National Card!

TNFC Pasalubong Center

Located on the National Highway, Glamang in Polomolok is TNFC’s Pasalubong Center.

TNFC stands for Trully Natural Food Corporation. They sell dried mangoes, papaya, pineapple and a tropical fruit assortment. They also have other fruit products like puree and juice. The dried fruits come in small packagings and big plastic bags. I particularly like their dried pineapple.

In this store, aside from the dried fruits, they have chocolates including my favorite dark chocolate. They also sell other OTOP (One Town, One Product) products. On our recent visit, I saw some banana bread made by Blue Mountain Farms. They were good! Now, I have to go back for the ensaimada.

It’s a small store actually. The location is right outside TNFC’s factory. It has somewhat become like a stopover because they have big streamers announcing clean rest rooms and the wide parking space which is common in most stopovers.

However, if you don’t get to go to Polomolok, you can buy TNFC products also in TWS Ventures in National Highway, Gensan.
