The Farm @ Carpenter Hills Koronadal

Have you been to The Farm at Carpenter HIlls in Koronadal? If you haven’t seen the place, you should go check it out.

It’s a resort located in Koronadal. If you’re coming from Gensan, it comes before you reach downtown area. It got its name from the barangay (carpener hills) it is located in.

The resort has lots of zen-inspired gardens. They used a lot of bamboo and wood in their structures. The place would be great for activities needing some peace and quiet. The plants and wood design would surely relax you.

I particularly like their resAviary Cafetaurant, Aviary Cafe. The menu is done far better than most menu I have seen in Gensan. The food is surprisingly priced reasonably and the presentation is impressive. I can imagine though that the place must be a little bit inconvenient to dine in at night because of mosquitoes and insects. (We were already pestered by mosquitoes at 10am.) The music could also be better.

Their convention hall was a stunning room good for around 200 with a cozy foyer and a wide side area that could serve as an extension of the convention hall.

The staff were also very courteous and accommodating. Too bad there was not any good way to welcome guests. If you don’t go to the front desk or bump into an employee, the place would seem unwelcoming. But all in all, it’s a very charming place.

Sitti Concert in Gensan

Sitti, the Philippine Queen of Bossa Nova, will have a dinner show on November 7, 2008 at the Phela Grande Convention Center.

Dinner is at 6:30pm and show starts at 8pm. The show is a fundraising event of Mt. Matutum Lions Club. Proceeds will go to the construction of a two-room school building.

Ticket is at P 1,000 (not bad for a dinner show)

For ticket reservations, please call 3015555 and look for Cathy Teng.

I would have loved to watch but I have a new baby. Go buy your tickets now!

Finally here!

I have given birth last week to our little Cedric at Mindanao Medical Center. He was 6 lbs and 15 ounces at birth. Sadly, he had to stay for a week in the hospital for anitibiotics. But now, he is home with us and are we happy!

My thanks to my doctors Dr. Calderon and Dr. Agad (Dr. Calderon was out during the week I was to give birth so had to see another doctor), Dr. Abella for referring me to Dr. Agad, Dr. Nicolas for being so nice and comforting and Dr. Reyes, our pediatrician. so far, as I have given birth at Doctors, Elizabeth and MMC, service has been best at MMC though Elizabeth did give good service too as far as I can remember.

Thank you for continuing to visit this blog and I got great posts for you in the coming weeks!
